Grasgróinn smells like air just after rain, over ground the sun has already warmed.
It opens spicy and green. The warm spice lands first, then a root and leaf note underneath that stops it turning sweet.
The heart is where it settles. Ozonic notes read clean and faintly saline, jasmine softens the edge, and musk gives it body.
Vanilla, wood and musk hold the base together and keep it on skin through the day.
What ozonic actually means
Clean in perfumery usually means soap, and soap is a specific smell: aldehydes and white musks, the accord in most laundry products. That is not what is happening here.
Ozonic materials suggest air rather than washing. They read as space, weather, the minutes after rain, and they work by implying something rather than smelling of it. There is no rain to extract, so the effect is built.
The risk with the whole category is that it goes thin and slightly metallic. The jasmine and the vanilla underneath are there to stop that, which is why this does not smell like a laundry product.
Wearing it
This is the easiest of the five to wear and the hardest to notice from across a room, which is deliberate. If you want a fragrance people comment on, this is not it. If you want one you can wear to work every day for a year, it is.
It suits mild weather and daylight. In cold air the green notes close up and it loses the thing that makes it interesting.
30 ml or 50 ml
30 ml is 1000 DKK, 50 ml is 1400 DKK. This one gets worn more often than the heavier fragrances, so the 50 ml is the more honest buy if you already know you like it.
